Is it All Right to Have Sex While Pregnant
Sex is something of a hot button issue for pregnant woman. For a variety of reasons, some woman may not be able to have sexual relations while pregnant at all. Other women actually report a marked increase in sexual desire while with child. But whichever side you land on, most couples will inevitably ask their doctor, “Is it all right to have sex during pregnancy?”
Most of the time, sex during the first trimester is perfectly acceptable. In fact, many women don’t even know that they are pregnant until late in the first trimester.
In most cases, the due date calculator is less important than how the woman is feeling when it comes to sexual relations. A woman suffering from extreme morning sickness is not likely to be interested in having sex with her husband. On the other hand, some women actually want more sex activity while pregnant.
If a woman has had previous miscarriages or is experiencing complications, her doctor may expressly forbid sexual intercourse. While this may cause frustration for both partners it is in the baby’s best interest.
Every pregnancy is different, so couples should be prepared to adjust their activities during the course of the pregnancy.
